The Hawaii Family Caregiver Coalition was invited to participate in the Inaugural Summit Caregiver Nation Summit powered by the National Alliance for Caregiving.
Our delegates were Kathy Wyatt and Savy Makalena.
Events included education forums on implementing NAC’s National Strategy to Support Family Caregivers and meetings with Senators and Representatives on Capitol Hill. Kathy and Wyatt met with Senator Mazie Hirono and Representative Jill Tokuda to advocate for policies and programs which improve the lives of family caregivers and their care recipients.
